About

"Garlaban is a hugetower of blue rock, standing on the edge of the Plan de l’Aigle, the Easgle Plateau, an immense, rocky tableland which dominates the green valley of the Huveaune.
The tower is slightly broader than it is tall; but as it rises from the rock at some two thousands feet, it rears up high into the sky of Provence and at times, a white July cloud comes and rests on it for a moment.
Thus it is not a mountain, but it is more than a hill : it is Garlaban."

"My father’s glory" - Marcel Pagnol.

In response to the long, cold Scandinavian winters, I discovered ceramics, along with the comfort of cinnamon buns and fikas. This craft, at times calming, occasionally frustrating, but always engrossing, now occupies a substantial part of my free time.

You see, the place I come from is a land where hearts are as warm as the embrace of the sun, and where people’s accents sing like a soothing melody. In my homeland, summer nights are peaceful, caressed by gentle breezes and the melodic songs of birds settling into their nests. There, people hum and whistle, savoring the last rays of the setting sun before the night falls.

This sense of warmth and solace, deeply rooted in me, accompanied me throughout my journey in the Nordic countries, illuminating my discovery of pottery. I strive to infuse this essence into each of my creations as a tribute to my roots.

The contrast between Nordic simplicity and Southern radiance has shaped my creativity and defined the identity of the studio.

Today, back in Marseille, under the gentle gaze of the Garlaban hills, I craft each piece. Every creation tells a story—a journey between two worlds: the serene minimalism of the North and the vibrant warmth of the South, where I feel truly at home.
